About Me

Welcome to Yan Sun (孙彦)’s personal website.

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the SGEMS lab, School of Computing, National University of Singapore (NUS), advised by Prof. Stanley Kok. Before that, I received my bachelor’s degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-SZ), where I was advised by Prof. Jicong Fan. I am a recipient of the Google PhD Fellowship (2024).

My research focuses on reinforcement learning for LLMs and multimodal models, and I have also worked on graph kernels and anomaly detection. I am currently a Research Intern at Tencent, previously at Ant Group.
